World Day of Prayer for Vocations: May 8 2022

Updated: Feb 17

The purpose of this day, set aside annually on the 4th Sunday of Easter, also known as ā€œGood Shepherd Sunday,ā€ is to fulfill the Lord’s instruction to ā€œask the master of the harvest to send laborers for the harvest.ā€ (Lk 10:2b) Please join us in praying the Augustinian Prayer for Vocations. In his message for this 2022 World Day of Prayer for Vocations, Pope Francis reminds all of us, ā€œAs Christians, we do not only receive a vocation individually; we are also called together. We are like the tiles of a mosaic. Each is lovely in itself, but only when they are put together do they form a picture. Each of us shines like a star in the heart of God and in the firmament of the universe.ā€
