Celebrating Religious Brothers Day, May 1

Religious Brothers Day Sunday, May 1st, 2022 St. Joseph the Worker

Augustinian Friars – We’re all brothers living the one same life of prayer and community, professing the same vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, enjoying the same fraternal life. We serve as teachers, counselors, pastoral ministers, in administration, leadership, with immigrants and prisoners, at home and abroad. As friars, we experience “a call within the call” – how we’re called to live out our ministry – either as Brothers or Priests.

To our brothers who are Brothers – thank you for your wonderful and beautiful vocation!

Please watch and listen as friars from each of our three Provinces share what it means to them to be an Augustinian Brother.

Brother Mauricio Morales, O.S.A. from the California Province

Br. Nicholas Mullarkey, O.S.A. from the Midwest Province

Brother Robert Thornton, O.S.A. from the Eastern Province
